23 SOLAR PANELS SHED LIGHT IN OLB COMMUNITY
Wednesday, October 17, 2018
Our Lady of Banneux village in San Mateo, Rizal is one of the many communities CFC ANCOP has built with the help of generous partners and donors. It is a home to ninety-one (91) families since 2011. And through the following years, the said community has shared the transforming love of Christ with others.
A recent event where they have shared this is through the CFC YFC Social Actions, a pre-event of the 25th YFC International Conference. The delegates of the said event have immersed themselves in the area by experiencing community activities with the homepartners. One of their experience is welcoming and helping CFC ANCOP turn over solar panels in the area.
CFC ANCOP delivered the twenty-three (23) solar panels last April 11, 2018 to help shed more light to families. Present in the turn-over of the panels are representatives from CFC ANCOP Global Foundation Inc.: Bro. Nathaniel Gomez – ANCOP Shelter Staff, Ronaldo Caspe – ANCOP Quality Assurance officer, and Bro. Chito Mata – ANCOP Shelter Program Head. On the other hand, the OLB Community was represented by Bro. Sam and Sis. Fe Flores, members of the area’s Project Implementation Team.
These solar panels package given includes battery, inverter, wires and light bulbs to help families do their work and chores even at night. Sixteen (16) of these solar panel packages were donated by CFC China and the remaining seven (7) are from ANCOP Canada.
One of the beneficiaries are Bro. Arly and Sis. Ester Bose’s family. They are members of the Couples For Christ for twenty (20) years already and is living in OLB for more than a year now. The couple, who is married since 1985 have faced different struggles in life including having a stable and normal home. They have been moving from one place to another and renting spaces just to have a comfort of shelter. But when Bro. Arly had a stroke, they find it hard paying for the rent of the house and resulted for them to be ousted in the place.
But the Lord did not leave them homeless, after the incident, they found a new home in Our Lady of Banneux. With them are their two grandchildren- Althea, six years old and Ian Carl who is now nine years old.
Earlier in their stay, the Bose family only uses a lamp when days already turned into nights. At five in the afternoon, their grandchildren are going to their neighbors whose homes have electricity in order to comply with their homework. A change in their situation paved the way when the installation of the solar panels was conducted last April 19, 2018 through the leadership of Bro. Ado Caspe and Bro. Sam Flores. The Bose family imparted that having such blessing is a great help for a brighter future for their family and little ones.
Several families were also grateful for the generosity of the Lord and the sponsors for it an instrument for a brighter home.
Another ANCOP site is set to rise at Barangay West Talaongan, Cavinti, Laguna which was made possible with the kindness of its donors, CFC ANCOP Global Foundation Inc. (CAGFI), ANCOP Canada International, and the Municipality of Cavinti. On the site will rise an initial 30 house units and will be named CFC ANCOP Canada-Municipality of Cavinti Community. Along with these is a multi-purpose covered court already approved by the Office of the Mayor, which is also planned to serve as an evacuation area to nearby municipalities that are often affected by calamities. There was also a newly-built health center within the perimeter.
The Lord continues to bless more people through CFC ANCOP’s Shelter projects as new housing units were turned-over to its beneficiaries at Starville 4 – Tova Vickar CFC ANCOP Winnipeg Community at Barangay Piel, Baliwag, Bulacan last October 8, 2018.
