ANCOP KAPATID COMMUNITY ENDOWED WITH A MULTI-PURPOSE HALL
Wednesday, May 23, 2018
Families in ANCOP Kapatid Community (AKC) of Bagbaguin, Caloocan City rejoice for having a new Multi-Purpose Hall in their area. The said hall celebrated its blessing and turn over ceremony last October 15, 2017.
The event started with a Holy Mass and the blessing of the hall. Subsequent to it is the presentation of the Multi-Purpose Hall's marker.
The blessing was followed by the welcome remarks from Bro. Salve Carro, cluster head of Cluster 2 and an Inspirational Message from Bro. Ric Dela Rosa of ANCOP Shelter Program. Dela Rosa said that it is joyous to see the people recognizing the Multi-purpose hall as an instrument for them to partake in the Eucharistic Celebration.
Then, the turnover of the symbolic key was conducted with the officers of the community's association. Sis. Haydee Vasquez, president of the Kapatid Homeowners Association, accepted the key and thanked the institutions and individuals who helped and supported the construction of the hall since day one. On an interview, Vasquez said "Lahat kami ay masaya at nagpapasalamat lalo na sa mga nag sponsor, ang CCO, ANCOP, at pagtulong ng aming mga leader. Makakatulong ito para lalo kaming magkaisa." (We are all happy and thankful especially to the sponsors, CCO, ANCOP, and to the support of our leaders. It is a help for us to be unified)
Afterwards, the ANCOP Head of the area, Bro. Beng Garcia reminded that the structure is a sign of unity among them. He added "Dati pinapangarap natin ang Bayanihan, ngayon ginawa natin ang Bayanihan" (We only dreamt of Bayanihan before, now we made the Bayanihan happen)
Bro. Rey Reyes, sector head of North A, also shared his words of hope. He imparted that may the hall be used for the evangelization of the people.
Lastly, Ms. Leslie Ann Yakit, a barangay official of Bagbaguin commended the ANCOP and the Couples For Christ for conducting programs centered to the beneficiaries and for showcasing a God-fearing community. She ended her speech with faith to develop the community through the partnership and cooperation of the AKC and the Local Government Unit of Bagbaguin.
To encounter the “poor Jesus” through the face of poverty and see Jesus united in each one’s suffering. This was the main goal of the CFC South A front liners during their 1st Mission with the Poor Retreat held in SOS Children’s Village, Ayala, Alabang last May 12-13, 2018.
Our Lady of Banneux village in San Mateo, Rizal is one of the many communities CFC ANCOP has built with the help of generous partners and donors. It is a home to ninety-one (91) families since 2011. And through the following years, the said community has shared the transforming love of Christ with others.
