A 93 Million budget is set to build a two-hectar Housing Project in Eastern Samar for the Typhon Yolanda Survivors.
Rudy M. Gaspillo, President of CFC ANCOP Global Foundation Inc., Jose Mari H. Banzon, Executive Vice President of SM Development Corporation, Deborah P. Sy, Executive Director SM Foundation Inc., and Melchor M. Mergal, Municapality Mayor of Salcedo, Samar signed a Memorandum of Agreement to construct two hundred houses for Yolanda Survivors in Samar held in Two ECOM Center, Pasay City last May 10, 2018.
CFC ANCOP Global Foundation, Inc. will facilitate the technical and legal due diligence for land acquisition, site development and house construction for the Project with the help of cash distributions from SMDC, and will ensure the whole project development.
SMDC and SMFI, on the other hand, will support the project in the financial sense, and guarantees the sustainability of the project.
The activation of the project will be at beginning of July 2018.
Aside from the houses, the parties also agreed to provide community development programs such as values formation, livelihood training and others to secure the sustainability of the project and to make change work for all the homepartners in starting their new life in this new community.
All parties are hopeful that the two hundred houses will not only provide shelter to the survivors, but will also help them create memories together as a family.
After the success of the pilot roll-out of Mobile Training Center in Salcedo, Samar last September 17-21, the second batch of trainees were set to undergo another Technical and Vocational Education Training for Parents (TVET-P) on the Mobile Training Center (MTC) on November 20-24. This was made possible with the partnership of SM Development Corporation (SMDC) and CFC ANCOP Global Foundation, Inc. (CAGFI) and is being facilitated again by skilled trainers from Don Bosco ONE TVET Philippines.
To further support this year’s ANCOP Global Walk, CFC Metro Manila East A Sector initiated a “Bowling for Education” activity, which aims to gather more funds in order to help more poor but deserving students through AGW. This was held last October 21, 2018 at Q Plaza Bowling Center, Cainta, Rizal.
