ANCOP CANADA CELEBRATES GOD’S LOVE WITH A PHILIPPINE CELEBRATION TOUR
Friday, February 01, 2019
To celebrate God’s love, ANCOP Canada gathered members of Couples for Christ (CFC) all around Canada for it’s first-ever “ANCOP Canada Celebration Tour,” where they visited several ANCOP sites in the Philippines which they sponsored. This allowed them to see for themselves the fruits of their labor from their donations and volunteers to the organization. The tour started on January 22 and ended January 27 on CFC Mission Core Retreat at Baguio City.
Together with 35 participants, composed of CFC couples and HOLD members from different states in Canada, they visited sites in Moonwalk Parañaque (PAR 2 Homes); Tala, Caloocan (Fr. Hofstee-PCCF Community); Malabon City (San Miguel Ville Homes), Bulacan (Starville-Tony Vickar Homes); Paniqui, Tarlac (ANCOP Vancouver Homes); and Bayambang, Pangasinan (ANCOP Canada-Calgary-Mojares-KKSBF-Bayambang Community). They attended several activities such as groundbreaking and turnover ceremonies, immersion at home partners in Paniqui, Tarlac, and a fellowship night in Malasiqui, Pangasinan.
Bro. Ricky Cuenca, ANCOP Canada President, always highlighted to the home partners that they are grateful as well for all these things. He told them that most of the donors from Canada are striving hard just to gather funds in supporting ANCOP programs and projects. He reminded them to take care of these things, as these are also fruits of hard work of their brethren in Canada who do their best as part of their service to God. As for the participants, they are now much more eager to help our poor brothers and sisters, as they saw joy in having a heart for the poor. (CFC ANCOP Communications /pmb)
Jobless. Abroad. Alone and lonely. This was what life was like for many members of Couples for Christ (CFC) Netherlands during the first months of the COVID-19 crisis. The reality of people in need inspired CFC Country Heads Mel and Daday de Leon, together with ANCOP Heads Medel and Milen Aviles, to start the “Tulong Kapatid” program, which provided relief through door-to-door delivery of care packages as well as financial assistance to the most affected CFC members.
MANILA, Philippines — Rain or shine, on lockdown or not, we’re walking for our scholars! For the first time ever, the ANCOP Global Walk (AGW) goes virtual and will target 5 billion steps over three months to help send underprivileged students and seminarians to school. This year, the AGW will also benefit ANCOP’s calamity services, which most recently have been assisting sectors most affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
