ANCOP PARTAKES IN THE CROSS PARTNER’S CONFERENCE 2017

Cross Catholic Outreach (CCO) - USA works on improving the lives of those in peripheries through assisting their needs. They also spread these services in different areas such as Africa, Asia, Latin America and Caribbean.

In continuing pursuit of proclaiming Christ love and exerting efforts to bring the good to others, CCO has organized the Cross Partner’s Conference last 22nd of July 2017 at the Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan City, Philippines.

As proclaimed in its theme: Convergence of Mission Paths, CCO has invited its partner agencies in the Philippines, including the CFC ANCOP Global Foundation Inc. in interacting with the group to share the similarity of their programs and sentiments.

 

 

 

 

The conference started with the visitation of tarps and a holy mass presided by Fr. Manuel Nicolas, Technical Director of Don Bosco Tondo. It is followed with welcome video from Jim Cavnar, Founder and President of CCO and David Adams, CCO’s Vice President of Missions. Mr. Claudio Merisio, the International Project Director gave his remarks and shared his admiration of how Catholic Church in the Philippines are more alive; one of the reasons why he cannot give up Philippines in his journey.

Mr. Merisio’s warm words were seconded with his discussion of the administrative formation in CCO and how project would revolve along with their partnership with the institutions. He also talked about leadership profiling and how this can help people perform their tasks well.

 

 

 

 

 

To be reminded of the Lord’s calling as a disciple and demonstrating the work of Christ as a movement, Fr. Dindo Vitug of Don Bosco conversed spirituality and stewardship through his experiences and St. John Bosco’s realizations to raise works with spiritual impact. “We know we are just being sent… It is not our work, it is the work of God.”

The afternoon of the conference was swayed with a performance from The Sisters of Mary School Handbellringers, who wondered the audience with their hand bells and hand chimes. The speaker for the afternoon session is Ms. Carmencita Abella, President of Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation. Her discussion focused on “The Leadership Challenges of Continuity and Change”. She shared that this is all about what we give and how do we act.

Lastly, the conference had a sharing from each organization of how they can see the future with their toil. It ended with a closing prayer through a group thanksgiving led by Ms. Ruth Callanta, President of CCT and a group blessing led by Mr. David Sutherland, Global Chairman of International Care Ministries (ICM).
