Friday, November 23, 2018
God is really good to the lives of ANCOP Scholars who recently made it on this year’s Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Licensure Examinations that happened this October and November. These include licensure examinations for Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chemist and Chemical Technician, Fisheries Technologist, and Civil Engineering licenses.
October 2018 CPA Board Exam passer is Stefanni Joy Laranjo, an ANCOP-USA Scholar from Cavite. She is a graduate of BS Accountancy from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Cavite, as well as an active SFC member from Naic, Cavite. She had her CPA Oath-taking last November 19.
Alexis Toby Bacagay, an AGW Scholar, is now a licensed Chemist as he recently passed the October 2018 Chemist and Chemical Technician Board Exam. He is from Metro Manila West B sector and is a graduate of BS Chemistry from the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
Another ANCOP scholar also made it to the October 2018 Fisheries Technologist Board Exam. He is Toffi Teraytay, a scholar supported by Landbank of the Philippines from Laguna. He is a graduate of BS Fisheries in Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU).
The blessings of the Lord is continuously pouring, with five ANCOP scholar examiners passed the recent Civil Engineering Board Exams. Among them is Kim Imanil from Pangasinan sponsored by ANCOP-USA. He graduated BS Civil Engineering from Pangasinan State University-Urdaneta. Another scholar has excellently pulled-off the exam, with Rey Mark Vitalicio making it to the Top 15 obtaining an average of 94.05%. Vitalicio graduated as Cum Laude in BS Civil Engineering from Catanduanes State University, and a scholar also supported by ANCOP-USA. Jinro Tadeo from Tarlac, another ANCOP-USA sponsored scholar, also passed the exam. He graduated BS Civil Engineering from Tarlac State University. Two ANCOP scholars supported by ANCOP-UAE also made it to the exam; Luis Benson Adraque and Nikki Willard Pacanan. Adraque from Laguna also graduated from LSPU, while Pacanan from Southern Leyte graduated from Saint Joseph College-Maasin.
The Lord has been faithful to CFC ANCOP with these scholars who manifest the organization’s mission of ‘answering the cry of the poor.’ These stories are truly inspirations to do more in working with the poor through giving these people a chance at education. CFC ANCOP is also grateful to the donors for their support in helping that more dreams of poor but deserving people, just like these successful examiners, are to be fulfilled in the future. A HUNDRED individuals taking temporary refuge at the Ibaan, Batangas Evacuation Center, after being displaced by the Taal Volcano eruption, signed up for the TVET Training to Employment program, a venture sponsored by CFC ANCOP in partnership with DMCI, the Archdiocese of Lipa and Couples for Christ.
On January 12, just as everyone was still on the height of celebrating the start of a new decade, 2020 brought us one of its surprises no one expected—the Taal Volcano eruption. On its first day of volcanic activity, it spewed tons of ashes that greatly affected Batangas, and has reached nearby provinces and even parts of Metro Manila. This caused a lot of damage to the homes and livelihood of the residents, displacing thousands of them to different evacuation centers all over Batangas province.
