ATENEO, CFC ANCOP INITIATE RELIEF OPERATIONS TO RESIDENTS OF TARLAC ANCOP SITE

Wednesday, September 05, 2018

Just this month of August, heavy rainfalls affected Metro Manila and nearby provinces due to southwest monsoon (Hanging Habagat) enhanced by Tropical Storm Karding (Yagi). The southwest monsoon was intense during the second week of August, affecting most of low-lying and flood prone areas. The heavy rainfalls also affected CFC Ancop Vancouver Community at Brgy. Tablang, Paniqui, Tarlac, causing a waist-deep water inside the community. The residents were then forced to evacuate to a nearby covered court to ensure their safety.

CFC ANCOP Global Foundation, Inc. is truly grateful to Ateneo de Manila students for initiating a relief operation for the residents of the site. They reached out to CFC ANCOP immediately after knowing the situation, and wholeheartedly donated 90 bags of assorted relief goods that were distributed on August 19, 2018.

This generosity of God through these people has truly given a glimpse of hope to the residents. After this, CFC ANCOP is taking some actions to help the residents rebuild their homes.
