Wednesday, September 26, 2018

ON September 17, 2018, CFC ANCOP's thrust of helping the poor in the peripheries started with the first batch of 75 parents, all prospective beneficiaries of SM Development Company (SMDC)-funded housing program in Salcedo, Eastern Samar. The trainees are taking courses in Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Carpentry and Masonry.

The 40-hour dual technology training ran until September 21 and was facilitated by experts from the Don Bosco Technical Institute. Graduates will be hired as construction workers and laborers of the ANCOP Shelter Program which will also serve as their on-the-job training (OJT). The OJT is an enabler in getting National Certification 11. Equipment, tools, and supplies of the said courses were brought to Salcedo via the Mobile Training Center (MTC). (Efren Tompong)
