PREPARATIONS FOR AGW 2019 HAS NOW STARTED
Friday, March 08, 2019
After a successful and fruitful ANCOP Global Walk 2018 with the theme “One Nation Walks for Education,” AGW 2019 was now officially launched to the CFC Metro Manila Heads last February 27 to formally start its preparations, and to excite everyone to walk once again for the education of our poor brethren.
This was spearheaded by Bro. Barry Tad-y, CFC MM South B Sector Head, as this year’s AGW Overall Event Head, assisted by Bro. Jojo Solis, CFC MM East B Sector Head, and Bro. Lay Laya, CFC MM Central A in marketing AGW. This year’s theme was also introduced to the attendees, which is “Light-Up My Life,” consistent to CFC’s theme this year, “Awake, Arise, Fulfill: Live as Children of Light.”
The kick-off meeting was also made productive with an open forum focused on the strategies that each sectors made during AGW 2018. This was to help the team improve, and to inspire other sectors on how they will raise more funds to surpass Metro Manila’s record last year, which reached Php30 Million out of the Php49 Million raised nationwide. With this, the 5% admin fee for each sector was also released.
ANCOP Global Walk 2019 will happen on November 17, 2019, alongside the celebration for the World Day of the Poor.
Jobless. Abroad. Alone and lonely. This was what life was like for many members of Couples for Christ (CFC) Netherlands during the first months of the COVID-19 crisis. The reality of people in need inspired CFC Country Heads Mel and Daday de Leon, together with ANCOP Heads Medel and Milen Aviles, to start the “Tulong Kapatid” program, which provided relief through door-to-door delivery of care packages as well as financial assistance to the most affected CFC members.
MANILA, Philippines — Rain or shine, on lockdown or not, we’re walking for our scholars! For the first time ever, the ANCOP Global Walk (AGW) goes virtual and will target 5 billion steps over three months to help send underprivileged students and seminarians to school. This year, the AGW will also benefit ANCOP’s calamity services, which most recently have been assisting sectors most affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
