Alumni Association: What Happens After Graduation Will Inspire You

Share

Once part of the CFC ANCOP family, always part of it.

It would only be a matter of time before the idea to start a CFC ANCOP alumni association would see the light of day.

“Born out of a desire to connect generations, the association sought to empower graduates to give back,” explained former CFC ANCOP Chairman Rudy Gaspillo, who laid the groundwork for an organization that would gather everyone whose education had been sponsored by CFC ANCOP all the way till graduation.

Rudy, himself once a scholar growing up in Negros Occidental, saw the value of CFC ANCOP alumni guiding, inspiring, and uplifting younger sponsored students who were walking the same path they had once taken.

Reconnect, rebuild

Since the CFC ANCOP Alumni Association’s founding in 2015, the journey has not been without challenges.

As many alumni stepped into the workforce, sustaining a strong and consistent organization proved difficult.

Yet the mission remained alive—quietly waiting to be rekindled.

That renewal came in 2023, when Ditas Rafael accepted the role of Alumni Coordinator upon Rudy’s request.

Together with KT Abaño, Jannie Bagapuro of CFC ANCOP, devoted field coordinators, and CFC ANCOP Education Heads across Metro Manila, a new chapter began.

They set to work quickly.

“With renewed passion and shared purpose, we made efforts to reconnect, rebuild, and reignite the spirit of service among the alumni,” shared Ditas.

A defining moment came on February 3, 2024, during the Grand Alumni Gathering at the Nativity of the Lord Parish in Quezon City.

Ditas said, “More than a reunion, it was a homecoming—a celebration of shared journeys and renewed commitment.”

For many, it marked the official relaunch of the association and the anointing of a dedicated leadership team entrusted to carry the mission forward.

Family for life

From that moment on, the association steadily grew—reaching beyond Metro Manila to communities across Luzon, including Bulacan, Pampanga, and Alabang—even to Visayas and Mindanao.

Career convocations and formation activities became avenues for the alumni to give back, equipping the next generation with both practical skills and renewed hope for the future.

In 2025, a new set of leaders stepped forward, continuing the work with the same spirit of service and dedication.

To ensure that the mission remains vibrant and alive in the years to come, the following were elected:

  • President: Domingo A. Victoria Jr. (North B)
  • Vice President: Prince John Mark Lubay (Central)
  • Secretary: Rachelle Fallega
  • Treasurer: Paul Jay (East)
  • Auditor: Jojo Nazareno (North B)
  • Public Relations Officer: John Mark Mampusti (West B)

Through every challenge and triumph, one truth endures: the CFC ANCOP Alumni Association is more than an organization—it is a family bound by faith, gratitude, and a shared calling to answer the cry of the poor.

Now, that is a family for life.
