“A center for world-class technical and vocational training for the region”.
This was the vision for the CFC ANCOP Technical and Vocational Training Center (CATTC) in Bani, Bataan.
That vision is one step closer to reality with the thanksgiving and blessing of the 700-square meter structure on June 18.
“[We hope the CATTC becomes] a reputable major contributor of highly trained and qualified workers with strong values and character…CATTC premises is within a community of believers, so that the vision of creating a self-sustaining society is not only for CATTC but for the whole community of the faithful residing therein and in the surrounding areas,” shared CATTC administrator Bro. Art Valdellon in an interview.

The vision for CATTC is broad indeed, he said, adding that the more long-term goal is to expand nationally, by establishing CATTC branches in Visayas and Mindanao to benefit a large number of beneficiaries nationwide.
“With God nothing is impossible,” Bro. Art stressed.
Blessing + thanksgiving
Don Bosco TVET Center Balamban, Cebu Director Fr. Brian Butanas blessed the CATTC, which features facilities like an administrative office, a welding and allied work training room, and an electrical installation and maintenance, air-conditioning and refrigeration training room, among others.
It was also providential that Fr. Butanas, a long-time partner of ANCOP and a partner in implementing TVET courses, was the one who presided over the rite.
An estimated 120 Bani, Balanga homeowners, Home Owners’ Association officers, and other stakeholders attended the thanksgiving and blessing, which kicked off with the holy Mass.
Bataan Provincial Area Director Bro. Romy Almacen led the opening prayer, while CFC ANCOP chairman and CFC International Council Member Bro. Rudy Gaspillo gave the welcoming remarks.
‘Full support’
With CATTC’s ongoing processing of its TESDA accreditation as a training and assessment center that can issue NC II Certificates to its graduates, Bro. Art continues to appeal to the community’s support for this new venture.
“Running the training and assessment center will need the full logistical as well as spiritual support of the community,” he said.
According to Bro. Art, the continual support of the community and other stakeholders who believe in the CATTC’s strategic role is crucial to its success.

“Truly the support must come in so that CATTC will become a sanctuary where caring and sharing happen,” he added.
