Supporting a whopping 550 students for school year 2024 – 2025, ANCOP Australia is no slacker.
Couples for Christ – Australia, with its 5,260-member strong community in 8 states, has been growing steadily in the last 35 years—and with it, its Work with the Poor efforts.
Leveraging personal network
While ANCOP Australia continues to rely heavily on local CFC members’ support, the Good News of ANCOP is quickly spreading to non-community members.
Thanks to ANCOP Australia’s wildly successful ANCOP Ambassador (AA) Program, “a biennial event that started in 2012 and is one of the fundraising activities unique to CFC ANCOP Australia.”
Through it, local ANCOP champions leverage personal network to go all out on a months-long campaign to raise funds for ANCOP Australia’s initiatives.

For school year 2024 – 2025, ANCOP Australia enlisted 20 ANCOP Ambassadors whose love for the poor seem to be directly proportional to their charm.
They are:
- Joan Quitoriano (Australia Capital Territory)
- Josephine Huervana (FNQ – Far North QLD)
- Chinette Loyola (NSW Blacktown)
- Elma Villanueva (NSW Hawkesbury)
- Luisa Dimmock (NSW HOLD)
- John Nguyen (NSW Sydney South East)
- Luz Maravillas (NSW Sydney South West)

‘Reliable & generous’
For ANCOP Senior Operations Manager Efren Tompong, ANCOP Australia has always been a donor country to watch.
“ANCOP Australia has been a reliable and generous supporter of CAGFI’s Education Program, steadily growing the number of their sponsored students through the years,” he shared.
Since 2017, ANCOP Australia has supported the education of 365 sponsored students.
For school year 2023 – 2024 alone, it helped 78 sponsored students and seminarians pursue their education and formation.
This also includes being part of the journey of 4 young men, 3 of whom were ordained priests and 1 as deacon in 2024.
The figures may never truly do justice to the scale and impact of ANCOP Australia’s support.
“We may never know the extent of CAGFI’s work with the poor.
Despite the hurdles that come our way every now and then, we have overcome and mitigate the effects of the challenges and have come out stronger and more determined,” added Bro. Efren.
